Mission Statement

Heritage High School is dedicated to empowering students to become life-long learners, committed to Honesty, Equality, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Achievement, Generosity and Excellence.  All classrooms will provide a student-centered, rigorous, relevant and innovative standards-based curriculum  developed in a professional learning community.  We are committed to prepare our students to be productive citizens in a global community using career academies, enhanced extracurricular activities, and instructional technology. 
Vision Statement
Heritage High School will create an effective cross-curricular professional learning community to promote the mastery of the common core standards.  Through collaboration, reflection and analysis of student learning, our PLC will ensure students achieve their academic potential in preparation for college and careers.  Staff members, students and parents will create a safe and supportive environment in which all students become productive life-long learners that impact the community in a positive way.

Academic Standards:

Students will demonstrate academic proficiency by meeting the common core and state content standards in preparation for their post secondary endeavors.


Research and Technology:

Students will demonstrate proficiency in using various resources and technology to conduct research, test hypotheses and solve problems.


Critical Thinking:

Students will demonstrate an ability to think critically and creatively, work collaboratively and independently, and take responsibility for their thoughts and actions.



Students will develop effective communication skills through critical and reflective reading, writing, speaking and listening.



Students will demonstrate an understanding of social responsibility and will respect diversity in the school community and the larger society.

  • Online Course Registration for next year is now open!

    Students and parents have until Feb 3rd to complete their course selection online. Online course registration is available on the parent portal. Instructions are included in the power point presentation attached below. Students also need to complete the paper course selection sheet as a back-up for the online registration. They are due to their SLC office by Feb 3rd, 2017.

    MOCK ACT on February 2nd at 1:00 pm – cost is $20.00: The Mock ACT is a practice test for all 9th -11th grade students but especially those juniors that are planning to take the ACT in the spring. Stop by the College & Career Center for more information or to pick up a fee waiver. Students can register in the student store. PSAT 10 on February 15th at 8 am – cost is $16.00. The PSAT 10 is geared more towards 9th or 10th graders. Stop by the College & Career Center for more information or to pick up a fee waiver. Students can register in the student store.

  • Patriot Preview Night

    is on Feb 1, 2017 from 6-8pm. This event will be our 8th grade parent info night, AP Parent Info Night, and Open House all rolled into one fun filled evening. Come out and join us as we celebrate our student’s work and come explore the courses we have to offer at Heritage High School. A program will be uploaded about a week before the event. If you have any questions, please contact your SLC office.

    Intradistrict Transfers Requests will be accepted for the 2017-18 school year during the month of February 2017. Forms will be available from February 1st – 28th at the District Office, Student Services building, or online at http://luhsd.net. All requests must be submitted no later than February 28, 2017.     9th -11th Grade College Planning Workshop – Monday, January 23rd from 6:30 - 8:00 in the HHS Auditorium: Do you have questions about College and the different paths that you could choose? Would you like to find out more?
